How to run CheckDisk

Open the CheckDiskGUI utility

In the Windows Start menu, search for CheckDiskGUI

Note: If you can't find the CheckDiskGUI utility in the Start Menu, install it from the Company Portal or contact the help desk to request the application.

Select the drive and scan or repair it

Select the drive you wish to scan/repair
To scan the drive for file system errors, click Read Only
To scan and repair file system errors, click Fix
To fix file system errors and attempt to recover data from bad sectors, click Fix and Recover
