OneDrive - How to Share files externally

You can use Microsoft OneDrive to share photos, Microsoft Office documents, other files, and entire folders with people. The files and folders you store in OneDrive are private until you decide to share them and you can see who a OneDrive file is shared with or stop sharing at any time.


How to share a file or a folder

  • Open a web browser and head to https://interogroup-my.sharepoint.com.
  • Click Upload and select the files you wish to share.
  • Once uploaded, click the Share button (next to the file or folder you would like to share).



Click People in Intero Integrity Services with... to open a drop-down-menu with more options.



1. Choose Anyone with the link

2. Set an expiry date (12 months maximum)

3. Enter a Password (Make sure to share the password with the recipients)

4. Click Apply




  • Enter the email address(es) of the recepient(s).
  • Enter an message (optional)
  • Click Send



The file/folder has successfully been shared with the recipient.





How the recipient accesses the shared file/folder


The recipient receives an email with a link to the shared file/folder.




After entering the password, the file/folder will become accessible.
