Reporting spam, phishing and other unsolicited email

Modified on Wed, 3 Jul at 9:32 AM

Intero Integrity's spam filter efficiently blocks tens of thousands of spam, phishing, and unsolicited emails daily. Emails that the filter can't decisively categorize are routed to your 'Junk Email' folder in Outlook for your assessment. Nevertheless, occasionally, some spam might bypass the filter and land in your inbox. In such instances, please report the email to assist us in further refining the spam filter.

How to report email messages

When using Outlook, follow these steps:,

  • Open the email message.
  • Click the Report Message button.
  • From the drop-down menu, classify the email as either Junk or Phishing  (if you're uncertain, opt for "Junk").

What to do if you're uncertain

If you receive an email and are uncertain about its legitimacy, examine it for the following characteristics. If any of these are present, it's likely spam, phishing, or similar:

  1. Emails demanding urgent action.
  2. Emails with bad grammar and spelling errors.
  3. Emails with an unfamiliar greeting or salutation.
  4. Inconsistencies in email addresses, links and domain names (particularly the part after the @ symbol)

If you still have doubts, reach out to the sender using the contact details provided on their official website (do not use the contace details from the email message).
