How to Sync Your Device in Company Portal

Purpose

This article explains how to manually sync your device with Microsoft Intune using the Company Portal app. Syncing ensures your device receives the latest applications, settings, policies and updates from your organization’s management system.


Why Sync Manually

Company Portal normally syncs in the background at regular intervals. However, you may want to trigger a manual sync when:

  • You don’t see recently published apps.

  • A new policy hasn’t applied yet.

  • You’ve made changes and want them to take effect immediately.

  • You are troubleshooting installation or update issues.



Sync on Windows


Open Company Portal

  • Click the Start button.

  • Type Company Portal.

  • Select the Company Portal app.



Open Settings

  • In the Company Portal window, select the Settings icon (bottom left).


Start Sync

  • Click Sync.

  • Wait while your device contacts the service and checks for updates.


This action forces your device to contact Intune immediately instead of waiting for the next scheduled check-in.
